RideReceipts exists to keep your original Uber receipts and help you hand the right ones to a client. This page explains exactly what it accesses and stores.
When you connect Gmail, RideReceipts asks Google for the read-only scope gmail.readonly — the narrowest Gmail permission that allows searching for and reading receipt emails. It cannot send, delete or modify email.
It searches only for messages from Uber's receipt sender addresses. Before downloading a message it checks the sender verification Google recorded when the email arrived (DMARC/DKIM for uber.com). Only verified Uber ride receipts are stored; Uber Eats orders, marketing and every other email are skipped and not stored.
Google API disclosure. RideReceipts' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Gmail data is used only to provide the receipt features you see in the app. It is never used for advertising, never sold, never used to train AI models, and never read by people except with your explicit permission for a specific message, for security reasons, or where required by law.
RideReceipts never asks for your Uber password and never signs in to Uber on your behalf. Official PDF receipts are added by you after downloading them from Uber, or taken from attachments of verified Uber emails. Uber's rider API, where Uber has approved this app, is used only for trip history.
RideReceipts is not affiliated with Uber Technologies, Inc. or Google LLC.
